We are thrilled to share that Äerd Lab has been awarded 1st prize in the Circular by Design Challenge #3, a national initiative supporting circular and sustainable innovation inLuxembourg. After 12 intensive weeks of coaching, our project was recognized during the awards ceremony held on 16 May, in the presence of Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot and Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Lex Delles.

Out of eight selected teams, chosen by an international jury chaired by Professor Martin Charter of the University for the Creative Arts, we were proud to present our project “EggShell Wonders” in the category of Multifunctional Urban Furniture.EggShell Wonders is a furniture collection 3D printed from local clay and eggshell powder, a unique blend of natural and upcycled materials. The result is a series of sculptural, biodegradable pieces that combine circular design, material innovation, and architectural aesthetics. By giving value to food and construction waste, the project aims to reshape how we think about urban furniture — not only as functional objects, but as agents of change in our cities.
